MOD personnel GLA priorities

The Greater London Authority (GLA) gives priority to serving military personnel. The GLA defines this as being where:

  • You've completed basic (phase 1) training and are one of the following: 

- Regular service personnel (including Military Provost Guard Service, in the Navy, Army and Air Force)
- Clinical staff (with the exception of doctors and dentists)
- MOD Police Officer
- Uniformed staff in the Defence Fire Service

  • You're a former regular service personnel who served in the armed forces for a minimum of six years, and can produce a discharge certificate (or similar documentation) as proof. You must apply within 12 months of discharge
  • You're the surviving partner of regular service personnel who died in service and must apply within 12 months of being bereaved.
