Digital champions are people who help others understand the benefits of being online and can show them how to do a range of simple things that can make a huge difference to those who cant or don't use the internet. Find out how to apply for our digital champions training programme.
What's your big idea?
L&Q is working in partnership with Fixers to support young
people aged 16 to 25 to help them tackle any issue that matters to
Fixers are young people who are motivated by personal experience to make positive change for themselves and those around them.
Issues that Fixers have worked on before include:
- self-harm and suicide
- random acts of kindness
Fixers have created short films, websites, posters, leaflets,
events and flash-mobs.
If you are 16-25, you have something you care about and want to change for the better, then find out how you can work with Fixers.

Wisdom Works is an employability programme to help residents get back into work. The programme is open to all L&Q residents aged 50 or over who want to find work and who live in the boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Richmond, Kingston or Lambeth.
This free service offers:
- Access to a personal advisor
- Help to find a job and apply
- The chance to gain relevant qualifications
- Support in preparing for a work placement or interview
- The chance to join employer-led training opportunities leading to guaranteed interviews

Start with the Job
Start with the Job is an employability project to help residents get back into work. It's open to L&Q residents aged 50 or older who want to find work and who live in the borough of Lewisham.
The project will help residents access jobs in hospitality, catering, facilities management, stewarding and cleaning. This free service will offer:
- Job shadowing
- Work placements
- Work trials
- Mock interview with employers
- An accompanied interview
- One-to-one support (personal advisor)
- Progression workshops

ASE Remote Working
ASE Remote Working is a six-month programme for L&Q residents in Brent or Ealing who are interested in working from home using their office skills.
The program consists of five days of training over two weeks. You'll also get six months of one-to-one support, mentoring and training.
The course is aimed at:
- Parents, anyone with accessibility issues, carers or people aged over 50
- Anyone considering self-employment
- Anyone who cant work typical office hours of 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday
- People with skills in admin, customer service, data entry, legal work, accountancy, IT, design, writing, translation, marketing, social media, sales and project management
After the course, you will learn:
- Your own skills and how to sell yourself
- How to create your own remote working profile and start winning freelance jobs
- How to run your own business and be more organised
- About building a lifelong network of colleagues and buddies to
keep you motivated and supported

Have you been feeling frustrated with your job search? Do you need some support to find employment?
JobReady is a team of ten L&Q staff who support residents all over London to access employment. We work with a range of employers and training providers including British Airways, Laing O'Rourke and Sainsbury's. We can offer the following:
- One-to-one support
- CV and cover letter guidance
- Support with job applications
- Interview techniques
- Referrals to specialist recruitment firms
- Help to access funding for training, licences, uniforms and interview clothing
- Help to find jobs and apprenticeships

Family fitness sessions, nutrition and cookery workshops for
parents with toddlers and babies aged between 0 and 4 years. These
run every Wednesday at 10am. Just come along to The Scout Hut, 212

Hub to Home
This is a group hub session that encourages positive relationships through storytelling, dancing and music to provide playful solutions to help families with everyday tasks. You'll even receive a package to continue the fun at home.

Parents and Communities Together (PACT)
An initiative of Citizens UK and funded by the L&Q Foundation, PACT offers the chance to work with like-minded people in your community to support and develop your ideas to make your neighbourhood a better place to live.
