New Group Board member appointed

The new Group Board which will oversee L&Q upon its merger with East Thames has been finalised with the appointment of a senior non-executive leader.
Following a robust recruitment process, supported by an independent consultancy, Larissa Joy has been appointed to the Group Board.
Larissa is currently the Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Governance and Remuneration Committee at East Thames Limited. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Saxton Bampfylde, one of the world’s leading executive recruitment firms, and Chairman of The Foundling Museum, which tells the story of London’s Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity.
Larissa’s previous roles include Vice Chairman of advertising giant WPP’s Ogilvy Group UK, European COO at leading public relations firm Weber Shandwick, and Partner of emerging markets at private equity firm Actis LLP.
She read law at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and studied at London Business School, where she completed her MBA. She holds an FTCL Diploma from Trinity College London and an LRAM Diploma from the Royal Academy of Music.

The East Thames subsidiary will retain its own Board, and its Chairman, Tina Tietjen, will also sit on the new Group Board of the parent organisation with Larissa. The other Board members are: Aubrey Adams (Group Chairman), David Montague (Group Chief Executive), Waqar Ahmed (Group Finance Director), Betsy Bassis, Samantha Hyde, Tracey Fletcher-Ray, Mike More, Trevor Moross and Simon Rubinsohn.
Aubrey will also sit on the Board of the East Thames subsidiary.
