Dec 14 2016
L&Q housing association is celebrating the success of its Gas Services team, which is now qualified above all standards set for the industry with an exemplary 99.9% compliancy record.
Based at Cray House in Sidcup from where L&Q manage more than 46,000 homes across London, all of L&Q’s 11 strong Gas Services team have passed their Management of Gas Safety in Social Housing.
The training was undertaken with the Association of Gas Safety Managers with a Vocationally Recognised Qualifications training programme. It has now been set as a minimum standard for all future team members to meet.
The team has an exemplary record with a compliancy of 99.9% for Landlord Gas Safety Records over gas appliances in L&Q’s housing stock across London and the South East.
Steve Chambers, Gas Services Manager, said:
“This is a great opportunity for us to recognise the hard work and persistence that the whole team has put in over the last few years, as well as our partners in the Neighbourhoods and external contractors.
“I am proud of what the Gas team has achieved in gaining these qualifications as well as our current compliance record. They are really pushing the boundaries to further their learning and professionalism to provide a better, and safer, experience for our customers.”
