As an L&Q resident paying rent you are expected to take responsibility for putting right accidental or deliberate damage to your home.
You are expected to take responsibility for and cover the cost of the following matters.
Working with us
- Reporting repair requests to L&Q Direct
- Keeping to appointments
- Letting in the gas inspector annually
Maintenance
- Dealing with blocked sinks/basins/drains
- Replacing lost bath, sink and wash hand basin plugs
- Looking after any garden
- Testing smoke detectors
- Removing all rubbish from home and garden
- Disposing of rubbish properly
Repairs
- Filling minor cracks in plaster
- Replacing broken windows/door glass
- Renewing rewireable fuses
- Renewing locks and keys
- Renewing damaged lavatory seats
- Replacing tap washers
- Replacing light bulbs
- Accidental damage
Insurance
- Getting your own belongings insured (eg home contents). We
only insure the building.
